Quick answer

Choose EkaScribe when the immediate bottleneck is turning a spoken consultation into an editable clinical note, prescription draft, summary, or EMR-ready template across the devices and languages a clinic uses. Choose Homeo AI when a qualified homoeopathic practitioner already has a checked narrative and needs to review how that narrative becomes symptoms, proposed rubrics, source passages, a remedy differential, and a follow-up record.

EkaScribe's current public page describes a Free plan limited to five consultations per day and a Pro plan with unlimited consultations. The page does not expose a stable numeric Pro price in its crawler-readable plan text as reviewed on 31 July 2026, so buyers should confirm the amount in the live checkout before comparing annual cost. The plan structure is still useful: it creates a bounded way to test the scribe workflow without pretending that a documentation tool and a specialist case copilot perform the same job.

The practical choice is documentation first versus case interpretation first. A clinic may use both categories, but only if it defines which system owns the recording, the authoritative note, the approved case narrative, and the reasoning history.

What EkaScribe currently offers

EkaScribe's official site positions the product as an ambient medical scribe for structured SOAP notes, prescriptions, summaries, and custom templates. The vendor says its workflow supports more than 20 languages and offers web, mobile, desktop, browser-extension, WhatsApp, and telephone options. Those are vendor claims and platform descriptions, not independent measures of transcription accuracy or clinical safety.

The official Help Center currently distinguishes two models. Lite is described as a faster option for routine and follow-up consultations. Pro is described as the higher-accuracy option for detailed or complex consultations. The same Help article says the user can select a model per consultation. This makes model choice a testable part of the buying decision rather than a reason to assume every session receives the same processing.

An April 2026 changelog entry documents a context layer that can combine multiple information sources, generate multiple notes from one transcription, reuse context across notes, regenerate templates, and allow manual editing. The current download page also describes native desktop access, mobile apps, a browser extension, teleconsultation support, and an Eka Doc integration path.

These are genuine strengths for a busy clinic. A doctor can evaluate whether speaking produces a useful draft faster than typing, whether the selected language and accent are handled reliably, and whether edited output reaches the approved record without repeated copying.

The free-plan label is not the full cost comparison

A five-consultations-per-day allowance can be enough for a controlled trial, but it does not settle total cost. Confirm whether the counter includes aborted recordings, regenerated notes, uploaded audio, teleconsultations, or multiple outputs from one consultation. Check whether team members need separate accounts and whether integrations or higher-accuracy processing change the subscription.

Because the public page did not expose a numeric Pro rate in the reviewed raw plan text, do not borrow a figure from a social post, old screenshot, reseller, or another product with a similar name. Open the current checkout, capture the currency, billing period, taxes, renewal date, refund terms, consultation limits, and included models, then obtain written clarification for any clinic-wide use.

EkaScribe's homepage states that recordings and notes are encrypted, that data is hosted on servers in India, and that access is restricted to authorized account holders or team members. Treat those statements as the start of procurement. Ask for the applicable privacy terms, security report scope, subprocessor list, retention schedule, backup behavior, support-access process, deletion evidence, incident procedure, and contract language for the exact account.

Neither a compliance badge nor an India hosting statement decides whether a clinic may record a particular encounter. Consent, data minimization, staff permissions, retention, and local professional obligations remain clinic work.

Where EkaScribe is the stronger fit

EkaScribe is the more relevant product when the outcome is a faithful, editable documentation draft. Its range of capture surfaces may help a clinic that works across in-person consultations, teleconsultations, mobile devices, and browser-based record systems. Custom templates and the ability to edit or create manual notes can reduce the risk that a clinic is locked into one generated format.

The fair test is not whether the note sounds polished. It is whether names, numbers, negation, chronology, speaker attribution, examination findings, assessments, and plans survive the transformation. A useful scribe makes correction faster while keeping the clinician responsible for the signed note.

EkaScribe should not be penalized because it does not advertise a licensed homoeopathic repertory or a source-linked remedy-differential workflow. Those are different jobs. Its strongest result is an accurate record that a clinician can inspect, correct, and approve.

Where Homeo AI fits differently

Homeo AI begins after a trustworthy narrative exists. It is designed for practitioner-led homoeopathic case review: preserve the patient's wording, propose structured symptoms and rubrics, expose source support, let the practitioner reject or change mappings, compare a differential, and carry the reviewed rationale into follow-up.

That workflow has a different error boundary. A scribe can correctly record that a symptom is worse at a particular time while a later system maps the phrase to a poor rubric. Conversely, a plausible differential is unsafe if the underlying note dropped a negation or compressed the chronology. If both products are used, the clinic must test both transformations separately.

Homeo AI is not a general ambient scribe, EHR, or prescription-document generator. EkaScribe has the clearer fit when transcription and note formatting consume the day. Homeo AI has the clearer fit when the approved narrative is available but the practitioner needs an inspectable path through specialist case reasoning.

Run a reproducible clinic test

Prepare ten completed, de-identified cases and synthetic audio that the clinic is permitted to use. Include routine and complex consultations, follow-ups, speakers with the clinic's usual accents, interruptions, remedy and medicine names, measurements, explicit negation, symptoms described out of order, and a consultation that should trigger referral or emergency escalation. Remove names, dates of birth, exact dates, contact details, addresses, identifiers, images, and rare combinations that could identify anyone.

For EkaScribe, test the Free allowance before purchasing Pro. Run the same audio through Lite and Pro where the account permits it. Measure capture success, processing time, omissions, invented statements, number errors, speaker errors, template fit, correction time, export quality, consultation-counter behavior, and deletion. Confirm that a second reviewer can distinguish the original transcript from edited and generated material.

For Homeo AI, use only the checked de-identified narrative. Record whether original wording remains visible, which symptoms and rubrics are accepted or rejected, whether cited passages support the accepted mapping, how a correction changes the differential, and whether the reasoning remains understandable at follow-up.

Keep separate scorecards. EkaScribe should be scored on audio fidelity, note quality, editing effort, platform fit, transfer, consent, and data controls. Homeo AI should be scored on narrative fidelity, mapping quality, source traceability, correction effort, differential clarity, and follow-up continuity.

Use only completed, de-identified cases until the clinic approves the complete data flow and legal basis. Neither tool replaces diagnosis, referral, emergency care, practitioner judgment, prescription, potency, dosage, or follow-up responsibility. Neither tool should make an emergency-care decision or decide whether a person needs urgent conventional assessment.

Conditional verdict

Choose EkaScribe when documentation is the measured bottleneck, the live Free or Pro terms match case volume, and the clinic validates language accuracy, templates, export, consent, retention, deletion, and the current checkout price. Its value should appear as fewer minutes spent producing an accurate approved note.

Choose Homeo AI when the clinic already has an approved narrative and needs a specialist, correctable reasoning trail. Its value should appear as clearer mappings, visible sources, easier correction, and continuity across follow-ups.

If both are used, make the handoff explicit. EkaScribe may produce the reviewed authoritative note. Homeo AI should receive only the minimum lawful, checked narrative required for case review. Never let a transcription error become an unexamined rubric, and never let an attractive differential overwrite the signed record.
