Quick answer

Choose Hello Homeo when the main decision is whether one India-focused clinic platform should combine appointments, patient records, billing, pharmacy, laboratory work, teleconsultation, WhatsApp notifications, repertory access, and an AI assistant that can read the clinic record. Choose Homeo AI when the main job is narrower: turn a completed case narrative into an inspectable chain of proposed symptoms, editable rubric mappings, linked source passages, remedy differentiation, and follow-up reasoning.

The most important difference is not a generic claim that both products use AI. Hello Homeo's Vita assistant sits inside the operational record and spends from a clinic-wide H-Credit balance. Homeo AI centers the practitioner's review of how case language became repertorial and materia medica reasoning. A buyer should test those two jobs separately.

This comparison was reviewed on 12 August 2026 against the current Hello Homeo product, pricing, Vita documentation, plans documentation, privacy policy, terms, and deletion page linked below. Product capabilities and security statements are vendor claims unless independently tested. Prices, quotas, and legal terms can change, so retain the dated pages and the final executed agreement used for procurement.

What Hello Homeo and Vita currently offer

Hello Homeo's genuine strength is scope. Its public product page presents a clinic system with separate admin, doctor, patient, pharmacist, and laboratory portals. It includes appointments, consultation records, prescriptions, pharmacy inventory, GST billing, teleconsultation, lab orders, patient access, and WhatsApp workflows. A practice that wants one operational system may reasonably value that breadth more than a specialized analysis tool.

Vita is embedded in this system. The official Vita documentation says it can read the case sheet being written, patient demographics, previous consultations, lab orders, and other clinic information available to the doctor. It can draft consultation summaries, propose differentials and probable remedies, identify missing questions, suggest a predominant miasm, and offer case-sheet text field by field for approval or rejection.

The documentation also states meaningful limits. Vita cannot add a prescription, choose potency or quantity, deduct pharmacy stock, order a lab test, finish a consultation, issue an invoice, or save a drafted field without the doctor's approval. Its full-page assistant and in-consultation assistant have different data access. The full-page view can search schedules and patients, while the consultation view is grounded in the open case. That distinction should be verified in the live trial because access boundaries matter as much as answer quality.

Another unusual feature is the connected-assistant route. Hello Homeo says a doctor can generate an agent token for Claude Desktop or Cursor, giving the connected assistant access to schedule, appointment, patient-history, lab-order, and Vita tools. This can help a technically confident clinic build a broader workflow. It also expands the credential and audit boundary. Before enabling it, ask how tokens are scoped, revoked, logged, rotated, and separated between doctors.

H-Credits change how cost should be tested

Hello Homeo's public pricing page says the Basic plan is free for one doctor and up to 50 patients, while paid plans start with a 30-day trial. The static public page does not expose every paid plan amount and quota in the text available to a crawler. The plans documentation says each plan card inside the product shows its full price and limits. That means a clinic should capture the live plan screen and checkout before relying on a cost comparison.

Vita usage is metered through H-Credits shared by the whole clinic. The current documentation says one typed message, one suggestion chip, one consultation summary, one started voice session, or one Vita call through a connected assistant costs one H-Credit. Applying, rejecting, or reading a draft does not cost another credit. Monthly quota resets occur on the first day of the month, while purchased add-on credits are described as non-expiring and used after the monthly quota.

Shared metering can be a strength because the clinic can pool use across doctors. It can also obscure the real cost per reviewed case. A doctor who asks one summary question has a different consumption pattern from a doctor who runs several remedy, miasm, follow-up, and connected-assistant prompts. Failed answers are documented as refundable inside a consultation, but the clinic should test how refunds appear in the usage ledger.

During the trial, record credits consumed for at least ten completed, de-identified cases. Separate routine visits, complex chronic reviews, acute documentation, voice sessions, and re-runs. Divide the plan and add-on cost by completed reviewed cases, not by messages. Also test what happens when both monthly and add-on balances reach zero, whether doctors can see remaining quota, and how quickly an admin can top up without interrupting a consultation.

Hello Homeo's April 2026 privacy policy says clinic data, including patient records, is retained for 30 days after termination or non-renewal and then permanently deleted. Its March 2026 deletion page says medical records may be retained for up to seven years and billing records for eight years when legally required. Both are current first-party statements, and they do not describe the same post-termination outcome.

Do not silently choose the shorter period. The deletion page also says retained records are isolated from active use, but the public documents do not fully explain which record types, backups, processors, or legal basis control each path. Ask Hello Homeo to reconcile the two statements in writing and place the agreed retention, export, backup deletion, subprocessor deletion, and legal-hold rules in the executed agreement.

The privacy policy identifies Supabase, Meta, Twilio, Stream, Google Gemini, Razorpay, and Vercel as subprocessors or infrastructure providers. A clinic should map which data reaches each service. In particular, confirm the exact fields sent to the AI provider, whether inputs or outputs are retained or used for training, where they are processed, how patient consent is recorded, and whether a clinic can disable a processor-specific feature.

How Homeo AI differs

Homeo AI is not positioned as a replacement for the clinic's appointment, pharmacy, billing, laboratory, or WhatsApp systems. It focuses on the analysis and review layer. The practitioner starts with the original narrative, inspects proposed symptom structure, accepts or edits rubric mappings, opens linked source passages, compares remedy differences, and keeps reviewed reasoning connected to follow-up.

That narrower boundary can suit a clinic that already has an acceptable record system and does not want to migrate operations merely to improve case review. It also makes the comparison easier to score: can the tool preserve the patient's language, expose its mapping decisions, support correction, and reduce review time without hiding uncertainty?

Hello Homeo may be preferable when operational consolidation is the goal. Vita can use live clinic context that a separate review tool does not automatically possess. Homeo AI may be preferable when source visibility and a focused narrative-to-rubric review path matter more than an all-in-one clinic suite. Neither advantage should be accepted from a feature list alone.

A reproducible clinic evaluation

Create a test pack of 12 completed, de-identified cases whose reasoning and follow-up outcomes are already understood by the practitioner. Do not use active patient data in a comparison account. Include short and long narratives, negation, contradictory statements, local idioms, mental symptoms, modalities, concomitants, prior prescriptions, and follow-up changes.

For Hello Homeo, test Vita inside a consultation and from its full-page assistant. Record which source fields it accessed, which claims it made, whether every proposed case-sheet field required approval, and whether a second doctor could see data outside the intended scope. Repeat selected prompts to measure H-Credit consumption and output stability. Test token revocation if the external-assistant integration is in scope.

For Homeo AI, record whether original phrases remain traceable to extracted symptoms, whether proposed rubrics can be corrected, whether linked passages support the stated differentiation, and whether the follow-up view keeps the original case, prescription history, and reported response aligned. Measure total correction time rather than initial output speed.

Score both products on case-language preservation, source traceability, correction effort, missing-data handling, record access boundaries, export completeness, quota predictability, and contract clarity. Use the same cases and the same practitioner reviewer. A polished demonstration is not a substitute for this controlled test.

Limits and conditional verdict

Hello Homeo publishes unusually detailed Vita documentation, which is a real procurement advantage. The clinic still needs a live plan capture, a reconciled retention agreement, a subprocessor map, and evidence that access and token controls behave as described. Homeo AI's focused workflow still requires practitioner review of every extraction, rubric, source, and differential.

Choose Hello Homeo when replacing or consolidating clinic operations is the primary project and the clinic is prepared to validate pooled H-Credit economics, role access, integrations, and the retention contract. Choose Homeo AI when existing operations can remain in place and the priority is a reviewable, source-transparent case-analysis workflow.

Neither tool replaces diagnosis, referral, emergency-care decisions, practitioner judgment, prescription, potency, dosage, or follow-up responsibility. Both should be evaluated only by qualified practitioners using completed, de-identified cases and explicit patient-data controls.
