Quick answer

Choose Homeoco Expert when the purchase is a bilingual educational and documentary tool for exploring homeopathic literature, comparing remedy sheets, and rehearsing automatic repertorization. Choose Homeo AI when a qualified practitioner needs an inspectable workflow for an approved case narrative, proposed rubrics, source review, a remedy differential, and follow-up continuity.

This difference is not cosmetic. Homeoco's current terms say the service is not for diagnosis, prescription, or a specific case. Its Expert page is aimed at trained users and professionals, but the product remains a reading, research, and learning tool. Homeo AI is positioned around practitioner case work. A clinic should not buy Homeoco Expert and quietly use it outside the boundary its own terms set.

As reviewed on 4 August 2026, Homeoco Expert lists EUR 10 excluding VAT per month or EUR 100 excluding VAT per year, with one free month. The monthly plan is cancelable without commitment. The annual page describes two months of price savings. Confirm the free-month mechanics, VAT treatment, renewal, refund terms, account count, and which English and French functions are available in the purchased account.

What Homeoco Expert currently offers

The official Expert page presents four steps: describe a situation in French or English, let the system identify sensations, modalities, context, and mental state, connect those elements to materia medica and repertories, and review educational result sheets. It also advertises an interactive repertorization table based on Boger, the ability to add categories, and writing assistance through ten prompts.

The intended outcome is understanding rather than an automated clinical recommendation. Homeoco calls the product a learning companion and says the AI structures material while the user analyzes it. Its current terms, dated 15 April 2026, describe a generative AI conversational agent grounded in available homeopathic literature. They state that the Expert version is for trained users or homeopathic professionals and provides similarity search against an already established, structured case study.

The same terms set a strict limit. Users must not use the service to assist diagnosis or prescription for a particular person. They must apply human verification because model output can contain errors, approximations, or inappropriate responses. They also agree not to enter directly identifying information or third-party personal data and must anonymize or generalize the situations described.

Where Homeoco Expert is genuinely strong

Homeoco publishes a clearer legal identity and use boundary than many young AI products. The terms name HOMEOCO SAS, a French registration, a business address, contact details, French law, an April 2026 update date, and separate free and paid service concepts. That gives a buyer a concrete document set to review.

The product also serves a specific learning job. A student, trained user, pharmacist, or practitioner may want to compare materia medica descriptions, practice structuring a completed study vignette, and see an automatic repertorization table without creating a live clinical record. Bilingual French and English access can be useful for teaching groups that work across those languages.

Pricing is simple enough for a bounded trial. The current annual offer is not presented as a full clinic suite, enterprise deployment, or unlimited diagnostic system. A buyer can test whether the literature interface, educational sheets, and Boger-based table save research time before committing to a year.

These strengths remain vendor claims until tested. The product page does not by itself establish the completeness of the corpus, edition provenance, accuracy of symptom extraction, reliability of the repertorization, or suitability of the output for any clinical purpose.

The legal boundary changes the comparison

Homeoco Expert should be evaluated as a documentary and educational tool. Its marketing mentions regular use in a clinic or pharmacy, but the terms forbid use for a specific case, diagnosis, or prescription. The safest interpretation is that trained users can study generalized or completed material while keeping all person-specific decision making outside the product.

That boundary can be a feature for a training program. It encourages a clean separation between learning and care. It can also be a deal-breaker for a clinic seeking an operational case copilot. Ask the vendor in writing whether a proposed workflow is allowed before relying on a broad marketing phrase.

The privacy page says Homeoco may use hosting, IT, AI-model, payment, and accounting providers and that personal data may be transferred outside the European Union, including to the United States, under stated safeguards. Obtain the current subprocessor list, hosting regions, model-provider terms, retention schedule, deletion process, incident response, and contract that applies to the Expert subscription. Do not treat an EU company address as proof that all processing stays in the EU.

Homeo AI requires equivalent diligence. A fair comparison asks both vendors for the same data-flow and contractual evidence rather than using one product's detailed policy to imply that the other has no obligations.

Where Homeo AI fits differently

Homeo AI is intended to preserve the review path for practitioner case work. The practitioner can compare the approved narrative with proposed symptoms and rubrics, check source support, accept or reject mappings, inspect a differential, and retain the rationale for a later visit. The target is an accountable workflow, not a stand-alone educational sheet.

This makes Homeo AI the more direct candidate when the clinic's bottleneck is translation and continuity across real case work. It should still be tested with de-identified material, under a documented data policy, and with a qualified practitioner responsible for every interpretation.

Homeo AI is not automatically the better literature reader. If the team needs French and English teaching material, a low-cost research interface, and a Boger-oriented practice table, Homeoco Expert may fit better. If the team wants the output to become part of a case-review record, Homeoco's own terms point away from that use.

Run a reproducible clinic test

Prepare twelve completed, de-identified cases and convert them into generalized study vignettes. Remove names, dates, contact details, addresses, record numbers, images, exact locations, and rare combinations that could identify a person. Keep a practitioner-prepared answer packet with the expected symptom structure, repertory choices, source passages, and acceptable differentials.

For Homeoco Expert, confirm in writing that the generalized test is within the educational-use terms. Run the same French and English vignettes. Record which elements the system extracts, how the Boger table is formed, whether the user can correct a category, which materia medica sources are identifiable, and whether another trained reviewer can find the supporting passage. Do not use the product to diagnose, prescribe, or process a live specific case.

For Homeo AI, use the same de-identified material as a case-workflow test. Record every proposed symptom and rubric, the narrative sentence that supports it, accepted and rejected changes, source evidence, differential movement after correction, and what remains visible in a simulated follow-up.

Score both products on narrative fidelity, omitted qualifiers, negation, chronology, source identity, passage context, correction effort, reproducibility between reviewers, export, deletion, and total reviewed time. A fast answer with hidden transformations should score lower than a slower result that another qualified reviewer can trace.

The test must be capable of failing a product. Predefine unacceptable errors, such as invented facts, missing negation, untraceable source passages, silent remedy changes, or an output that encourages use beyond the written terms.

Use only completed, de-identified cases until the clinic approves the legal basis and data flow. Neither tool replaces diagnosis, referral, emergency care, practitioner judgment, prescription, potency, dosage, or follow-up responsibility. Neither tool should make an emergency-care decision or decide whether a person needs urgent conventional assessment.

Conditional verdict

Choose Homeoco Expert when the goal is affordable French and English literature exploration, educational comparison, and repertorization practice, and when the team can keep use inside the April 2026 documentary boundary. Its current price and explicit terms make that narrow purchase testable.

Choose Homeo AI when the unresolved job is practitioner-led case review across narrative, rubric mapping, source checking, differential reasoning, and follow-up. Its value should be demonstrated by correction history and reviewer traceability, not by the speed of the first output.

Do not force the products into one category. Homeoco Expert can be a research or training companion. Homeo AI can be a case-workflow copilot. If a team uses both, keep the educational workspace separate from the authoritative case record, transfer only permitted de-identified material, and document which system is allowed to do which job.
